Install GliderTrace

Install GliderTrace as a local .NET tool, then connect it from your MCP client.

Choose your client below for setup instructions. GliderTrace works with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Pi, and other MCP-compatible clients.

Before setup, check Compatibility for .NET SDK, diagnostics tools, artifact handling, client, and transport guidance.

Recommendation: prefer project/workspace configuration when your client supports it. Runtime evidence is most useful when the server starts from the workspace it will test or run.

Install command

dotnet tool install --global glider-trace

Prerequisites

• .NET 10 SDK installed locally
• An MCP-compatible client
• Your .NET tools directory on PATH

Update

dotnet tool update --global glider-trace
